8.0 - Rear wheel installation

The remaining wheel with the wire coming from the axle is the rear wheel.

When installing the wheel, ensure that the wire coming from the axle is on the same side as the wire coming from the frame. The wire coming from the axle should be on the rider's left side.

Loosen off the nuts on both sides of the axle. All of the washers should be on the outside of the frame when it is inserted into position in the AM1 frame.

Slot the frame onto the wheel ensuring the washers stay on the outside. Also make sure that the wheel is inserted with the wire towards the front of your AM1, as shown above. It will not be possible to connect the motor if the wire is facing backwards. Make sure the pip on the washer shown in the closeup fits inside the slot at the rear of your AM1.

Loosely tighten the nuts up on each side of the axle. We will tighten these properly after we have installed the chain.
